YELLOW OCHRE is one more pigment which we've used for our watercolors. We chose a natural earth of superior quality coming from Vaucluse in Provence, France. Its color comes from the presence of hydrous iron oxides, which are mixed with clays and calcium compounds. Similarly to its red kin, yellow ocher has an ancient history: we can admire it in the paintings of the caves of Lascaux, and throughout history.
